Hello fellow Springer fans!!

we have been considering getting another springer to accompany Jessie our 3 yr old! Can you offer any advice?? My OH thinks its going to be alot of hard work with 2, I thought maybe it was like kids, one can sometimes be difficult but 2 is a breeze!
Honest opinions and thoughts would be a great help!!

We have 2 Springers and absolutely no regrets. We got Taylor when Millie was 4 yrs old. Two are easier than one in many ways - they keep each other company, play together and are partners in crime

If you can handle 8 muddy paws instead of just 4, then I'd certainly recommend getting a Springer companion for Jessie

One springer, three cockers and two knackered out peeps.
Hairy home no bed space (or sofa space) and a supa dupa vacuum cleaner.
Hairy food

And no white clothing.
Big brown eyes sloppy kisses and loads of love all multiplied by four.
What more can you want.

you don't own dogs they own you.

I absolutely love having two, but then i only had one for four months! But we were incredibly fortunate with the offer of the second dog when our first pup was only 6 months old, to get his half sister who came as a well trained pet at 9 months old.

Sounds heavenly!

Having just lost our collie (so didn't have two spaniels) all I can add is that its much easier to cope with just one (especially when its a high maintenance one) but I already HATE being a single family dog! The positives far out weigh the negatives but it can be hard work to start with and the dog combination must be right for it to work.

I wouldn't go back to having one (I'd like to go up to three but OH put his foot down).

They are company for each other when you have to leave them on their own and out on walks (mine don't really interact on walks but they both seem to enjoy them more if the other one is there) and they keep each other amused at home rather than needing me to be playing with them all the time.

There is twice the dirt and twice the expense but the same amount of walking (sometimes less if you get dogs that will play out on a walk). Training is a little harder and initially you may find you have to take your new dog out on its own a few times to work on lead walking etc. But in my opinion the pro's far outweigh the con's

we have three springers and wouldnt change things for the world. the springers always have someone to play with and someone to cuddle .very hairy house but lots of love and cuddles
