Hi all, Jess has been on raw for a good while now. Until now we have managed to feed her from the supermarket smidge from the butchers and a few rabbits etc that have come my way.

I spent the WHOLE weekend sorting the garage so I could fit my new dog food freezer in and am going to be changing G over very soon

So, where do you get your raw from if its online. What is your experience of the customer service quality and delivery etc?

I am not a massive fan of mince but it can make up a portion on the diet no problem. I was more hoping for RMB style food.

I am happy to still supplement from the supermarket anyway for now as even now Jess on raw is costing a lot less ( free to 70p max) that G on commercial food per day ( 80p plus)

Most of my stuff I get from my local butcher, he saves all of the chicken carcasses/wings and also lamb carcasses for me and pop in every other week to get them.

For the other stuff I use rawtogo, tried landywoods but they became a little hit and miss so switched to rawtogo and so far so good.

The other bits I get from the supermarket.

I used to use a butcher for carcasses, but they stopped using whole chickens, which I think alot of butchers are now doing, here anyway, they just order in the bits that sell well, damn nuisance!

I get Lamb breast from my now current butcher, they are quite big and he charges 1.99 for one. Everything else I get from the supermarket. Sainsburys basic chicken wings and legs, basic or morrisons value frozen pork chops, and liver/kidney from either. She sometimes has a recreational bone, which I get from butchers. That is her diet Im afraid, she wont eat rabbit, not even tempted by the turkey neck at Xmas !! I think she is just used to what she has and thats that

And of course, sardines, eggs and yoghurt all once a week.

I get some stuff from Natural Instinct. The complete foods that they do are excellent. They do have some things like chicken carcasses as well (these seem to work out slightly cheaper than raw to go, especially if your order is big enough for free delivery). I've found that customer service is spot on and the delivery has always arrived next day. They've also got a delivery-before-noon option for a couple of quid. There used to be the odd problem with the old packaging but since they've changed to the current tubs everything has been fine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - you wouldn't have guessed that would you

This is my experience also.

I use them mostly, supplemented by chicken carcasses & lamb bones from the local butcher.

I have just placed a first order with these people

I ordered a big bunch of turkey necks, and some pet mince. Their mince is rabbit based, Barney loved it. Pip was not so sure the first tw times I served it, but was v keen the 3rd time. It's pricey though. The turkey necks are HOOGE and good value, IMO. It all arrived beautifully packed and on the day they said it would. So I think I would recommend them too.

I also always have a couple of bags of Natures Menu frozen nuggets in the freezer. This is for emergencies. The little nuggets defrost really quickly, so if I've forgotten to get something out of the freezer, the dogs only have to wait about 45 minutes for the nuggets to defrost. I have also found that 2 nuggets fit perfectly into a kong

, which makes a good midday snack.

I also serve raw egg, tinned fish and natural yoghurt every week.
