Can he be homed with other Dogs: Possibly
Alfie came into rescue with his friend Sweep. Individually Alfie and Sweep are both fantastic dogs and would make anyone a great companion. However taking on a pair is not such an easy decision. We would really like to keep them together as they are very close but they have been with us a while now so we would consider splitting them.
Alfie is a Liver and white boy he is a very friendly boy who loves cuddles and fuss. He puts up with Sweep bossing him around but we were told that on the odd occasion he will growl at other dogs if they really get in his face (lets face it most dogs will do that) but we haven't seen it during his time with us.
He is a very lively dog and has been used to getting lots of off lead exercise. He is strong on a lead so this will need work. We were told that he was very obedient and good off lead and on taking them for off lead walks we have found this to be true. We think that probably the reason he is not great on a lead is that he didn't go on one very often.
Although he has not lived with children, he does have experience of visiting grandchildren and was very good with them. He has been used to someone being with him most of the day so will be looking for a home where then won't be left alone for long periods of time especially if ends up in a new home without his doggie companion too.
