Sweep came into rescue with his friend Alfie. Individually Alfie and Sweep are both fantastic dogs and would make anyone a grat companion.. However taking on a pair is not such an easy decision. We would really like to keep them together as they are very close but they have been with us a while now so we would consider splitting them.
Sweep is a black and white boy and who is very good natured, although he does boss Alfie around a little. He just loves to play ball and will do it all day given the opportunity.
He is a very lively dog and has been used to getting lots of off lead exercise. He is strong on a lead so this will need work. We were told that he was very obedient and good off lead and on taking them for off lead walks we have found this to be true. We think that probably the reason he is not great on a lead is that he didn't go on one very often.
Although he has not lived with children, he does have experience of visiting grandchildren and was very good with them. He has been used to someone being with him most of the day so will be looking for a home where then won't be left alone for long periods of time especially if ends up in a new home without his doggie companion too.
Although Sweep lives happily with Alfie because he is slightly bossy we would recommend that if he is to be separated from Alfie he would be better either as an only dog or with a bitch but not paired up with another dog (out and about he is seems fine with other dogs)
