Just a little resuce poem in reverse.
Today is the day I will go and see
If there is a human who can come home with me
Long , or tall, old or new so many to chose
But which one will do ?
Slowly I walk for a good look see
With excitable shouts “Pick me , No, pick me!”
But there in the corner a quiet as a mouse
Not even one whisper
Or can “I come to your house?”
Chocolate brown eyes look out through the cage
Hoping today she was going to be free.
Her head is held low as she cowers in fear
Her matted coat, and tangled hair tells ill treatment she had her fair share.
I lean in closer and am surprised to see
A tiny twinkle of what used to be
My mind is made up she is the one for me!
So off I go with my two legged friend
And I promise to love her till the very end.
Her hair is now glossy, there is spark in her eyes
She loves all the cuddles, and walks every day
I am so glad I rescued my human today!
