Extreme Springaholic Posts: 3121 Mar 16 12 8:24 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	an update on Glen from his new owner: Please don't worry, Glen is as happy as Larry and absolutely blooming! It was a bit of a shock to get his results as they were so bad, but there is lots we can try, and already the anabolic steroid injection (he will have monthly ones) seems to have worked miracles - that, or the low phosphorus diet that he has to be on. I suspect that he was extremely dehydrated from what he was being fed on (dry is the worst thing possible for dogs with kidney disease, apparently). He has really come out of his shell and he is as fit as a flea - no arthritis, and he can run and run! He is having a fabulous time and we are loving having him. I have no idea what his prognosis will be but I have to say that he seems to be responding extremely well. I am learning lots about feeding dogs with kidney disease (and have to say that commercial pet food is not the way forward!). www.syessr.co.uk

Posts: 5594 Mar 16 12 9:18 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	that is fantastic news...lumpy in frote here.....he looks a lovely boy and great to hear the medical news...Phil, over the road here in shrops suddenly had kidney probs 18 months ago, they werent in the habit of having many drinks but regular meals and he had a crisis was in ozie for few weeks, then had stents put in and last taken out recently, one more procedure but he is active nd I know a hooman but the first thing they did was to put him on emergency dialysis.....so hope for Glen...he really suits his name somehow Riley sends lots of hopeful licky licks!!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and me
