Hi Peeps! Thought I would just give my new face cream a mention. ( British Nanny) from Lush. Out in all winds and weather it has been fab! Its not the cheapest but you only need a little. Lush do not test on animals so that is def a plus point for me. It has a spf of 30 to so its going to be useful in the summer. Umm! thats if we get any of course.

If you google Lush, it will take you to the online shop. You can find out where your nearest Lush store is, but I bought my stuff online. Ring them they will send you some samples, the peeps are very helpful.

I love Lush! I use their solid hair shampoo. It looks like a bar of soap so it's great for sticking in your wash bag when travelling etc - no leaks or probs on aircraft. Lasts for absolutely ages (a bar costs £4 odd, makes your hair feel fab and goes on for about a year!). Their soap is also sublime. I really don't use anything much else any more, as they are also ethical etc.

The staff are brilliant too, really interested in what they're selling which is refreshing!

ooh I will look out for that - I have some of their eye cream, and must admit I have been rubbing it all over my face

I can't rate it enough. I love all the names they use for the products to. At the moment, I am using Godiva hair shampoo its lovely, Karma soap in the kitchen, the eye cream, British nanny face cream, and the ultrabland cleanser which is fab for getting all makeup off. I love it all, and it does last ages.

I might have to start a new thread on this topic. Naively I believed most companies had stopped testing on animals for beauty products but having seen the Lush campaign and googled PETA's list on who does still test I found that most of the products I use (Loreal, Garnier, Max Factor, etc, not sure about Clinique) all still carry out animal testing.

Now, I'm not about to throw everything away, but I do want to migrate to a cruelty free way of life. Have been to Lush and got some soap and Buffy bar, may eventually move on to their shampoo and moisturiser too, or try Body Shop. Have bought Liz Earle foundation and loose powder.

What other brands do people use that are totally cruelty free? I found it impossible to buy ethical face wipes in Tesco the other day

Sorry to be a kill joy Kate. Liz Earle has sold out to Avon, who do test on animals. I used to use her stuff until I found this out.
