Over the weekend, we've been enjoying the spring sunshine, and taking Chloe on some longer than normal walks, going down one side of the river and back up the other, and she seemed to really revel in it.
Unfortunately yesterday, she though she was a mountain goat, and was climbing along a ledge on the river bank, when she fell in.
Of course there was an audience when she fell in, you knew there would be. She was still charging around like a lunatic afterwards, and I gave her a check over and couldn't see or feel anything.
This morning she seems to be incredibly stiff, taking the stairs very carefully and I cut her morning walk short as she was just plodding along beside me like an old dog, not her normal sniffy self. She's currently downstairs on the settee, when she would normally be upstairs with me, curled up on her bed in the office.
We are going to restrict her exercise for the next few days, but I am neurotic about her, so should I take her to the vets sooner rather than wait a few days to see if she improves?
