Extreme Springaholic Posts: 1468 Mar 31 12 1:08 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None the title says it all really i need a groomer for louis and fast!! i have tried a few and not been happy at all - here's why louis came back with half a cut and i had to pay full price - he was growling apprantly when she tried to do his back end. louis came back with no cut and i had to pay as well - he was growling and showing teeth so too dangerous to groom louis came back hot and very stressed - i didn't pay refused on humane grounds louis came back with razor burns and cuts - he didn't stand still was the explanation i got. it seems word has got around that louis is difficult and dangerous to groom and most in my area won't see him or ask me to pay for cut and extra danger money. louis has not always been like this i had a groomer at a vet and she was lovely and he came back happy and always wanted to go back. she left and i've not been able to find her and i've been looking for 2 years now!! i need to find a place that will not leave him for hours on end and will be sympathatic with him. i wont lie yes he does growl when you do his back end and yes he doesn't like his paws doing but if the previous lady could do them with no problem why can't anybody else do them???? jackie and a very hairy louis You don't own a springer - a springer owns you....your bed, your wallet, your leftovers.....etc etc

They are just outside Halifax near Illingworth hope this is of help

Extreme Springaholic Posts: 4118 Apr 1 12 9:23 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I do mine myself - after paying £30 for Jack to have a bath as he too apparently wouldn't stand still, when I clip him the difficulty I have is getting him to stand up and stay awake. Bella growls (and snaps) for grooming so I just put a muzzle on. If Terrys recommendation doesn't work out have you thought of trying one of the mobile groomers, that way they don't leave them hanging around and just get on with the job. I couldn't have watched her being doing as she used to snatch brushes off me, chewing and wouldn't keep still. She had the no.1 cut all over except there was a bald patch on her chest but was surprised when they said she was good, didn't like having it done though but just became submissive. Because she has had the full works, I will just have her done at the same place twice a year. I was frightened in case she came back not cut like Louis but apparantly she was fine.
