Feeling very teary today, as it would have been Maeves 3rd gotcha day...
Miss my sweet little girl, and her mischief

A few pics in memory of my darling little girlie who went to the bridge before her time. Robbed in the prime of her life.... By breast cancer....
Happy gotcha day my sweet girl.... The first one was the day we got her, the last two the week she went to the bridge.

They are never forgotten and they left us knowing they were much loved. Love after all is a great gift given to all of God's creatures to spread liberally

Who knows what her life would have been like if you hadn't rescued her.
She obviously had a great life with you and was loved enormously and completely.

you don't own dogs they own you.

Maeve we never forget you but I had forgotten how short a time you had with your lovely girl.....so sad and so loved. Take care and Riley sends licky licks and have huggies too.....with lovely springies

She was with us for such a short time 18 months , but she learned to love life with us. And loved every new experience with us. It was a if she was experiencing life for the first time. Which in her case she was, as she had been puppy farmed, god only knows how many puppies she had before she came to us at three.
But lived her life with gusto, and was full of mishcief, and was comical to watch. She was a delight, am so glad she had her time with us.

Just raised my glass to Maeve, Dorothy, and too all our babes who we can't see but who are always with us

The memories are as precious as the time spent with those we love and lose.
Two years ago to now, we thought we were losing Ruby, aged 21 months.

She'll be 4 in July, same date as me,

and (along with the death of a very close friend last September) has taught me the true meaning of Carpe Diem! , because we have to get and take the best out of each day, which is what our dogs do. Each day is brand new, full of new smells and challenges, and while they can they will!!- in spades!

Be happy and proud to have known and loved her.

You have such lovely poems Dorothy, I'm sure you have a special one for Maeve.

Thinking of you Dorothy, I felt exactly the same when I put the picture of Shandy on here. Its just to think of her and it hurts when they are so young. '' Shandy, look after Maeve at the bridge. ''
